(((Time))) is a multimedia improvisational performance that took place at Axis Club, an underground EDM club in Chengdu. For this particular performance, we introduced the visual design program TouchDesign to enhance the interaction between music and painting. Artist Yuke Xu employs TouchDesign to craft an ink dot that dynamically responds to the sound of the performance space. This digital ink dot reacts to changes in frequencies and volumes, diffusing across the white surface of an LED screen in real-time.
The club environment offers a unique setting compared to a traditional gallery space. Within this isolated and immersive club atmosphere, our aim is to transport the audience into an ephemeral alternative universe, blending elements of music, painting, and electronic interactive art to create a captivating interactive experience.
